Tandridge District Council is inviting residents to a community safety update on Tuesday 28 January at the Council Offices, Oxted. The meeting is being hosted by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and starts at 7:30pm.
The event will be introduced by the Council’s Acting Chief Executive, Elaine Jackson, who will give an overview of community safety in Tandridge.
Sergeant John Vale from Surrey Police will provide an update about policing across the district, including the key challenges for the year ahead.
In addition, the Chief Fire Officer for Surrey Fire and Rescue, Steve Owen-Hughes, will give an overview of community protection and emergencies in Surrey.
The event is an opportunity for Tandridge residents to hear about community safety work in the area, raise the issues affecting them, discuss how these can be solved by working together and ask questions.

Councillor Ken Harwood, Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee, said: “This is a great opportunity for local residents and businesses to hear about the issues facing the district. I’d encourage residents to come along and hear about the work taking place and how we can work together to make the district a safe place to live, work and visit.”
