Save the date, Saturday 13 October 2018 for the Volunteers Fair and Local Heroes Awards, which will be held from 1.30 – 4pm at  Oxted Community Hall, Church Lane, Oxted, RH8 9NB.  If you have often considered volunteering but have been unsure about how to go about it then come along and have a chat.

Now in its second year, the Volunteers Fair and Local Heroes Awards provides the opportunity for anyone who is considering volunteer work to come and see how they could make a real difference in their community by meeting local voluntary organisations and discussing the options available.

The variety and scope of voluntary work available is enormous so there really is something to suit everyone. Volunteering is a truly rewarding experience which greatly benefits our community but can also benefit the volunteer in many ways by helping to build confidence in a work environment, learn new skills and meet new people.

So come along on Saturday 13 October 2018, 1.30pm to 4.00pm, Oxted Community Hall, Church Lane, Oxted, RH8 9NB and see how you can make a difference.

Local Heroes Awards

As part of the Fair we will also be holding the Local Heroes Awards.  We want to celebrate local volunteers who make a positive difference in our communities through the community, voluntary and faith organisations.

The Volunteer Awards seek to recognise and reward those who give their time as volunteers.
