The county council is consulting at the moment on potential changes to five areas. One of these is the additional concession offered to disabled and companion bus pass holders. The consultation is looking to get the views of residents and stakeholders on what impact the proposals may have on people as well as any other comments or views people may have on the proposals.

The proposal for disabled bus pass holders is to:

  • Move to the national statutory level for free travel between 9.30am and 11pm on weekdays and free travel at weekends and on public holidays.

The proposal for companion bus pass holders is to:

  • Move to the national statutory level and withdraw free travel for companions.
